Harris Farms is a vertically integrated agribusiness located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley in Chowchilla, California. Founded approximately forty years ago by Marion F. Harris, Harris Farms has continued to grow and is now poised to occupy a dominant position in the agricultural industry.  With humble beginnings as a dry land wheat and cotton farmer in California and Arizona, the capabilities center on the almond industry of California with additional expertise in the wine and raisin as well as row crop business.

Stricken with a stroke in 1995 Marion Harris has had to retire from farming.  Taking his place is his son Russell Harris, president and chief executive officer. Russell grew up on the farm and after attending Fresno State returned to help run the business.  An active executive who believes the best fertilizer on a farm is his own footsteps, Russell is involved in every key decision made as Harris Farms.  Russell has served on the Almond Board of California and served as chairman of the nominating board of the Fresno Madera Farm Credit Association.
